24 Hours of Le Mans: where to stay and how to plan your trip

Published on 12 March 2026 by admin

Every June, the motor-racing world converges on Le Mans for the most legendary endurance race of all. 300,000 spectators, a week of festivities… and accommodation snapped up months in advance. Here’s how to plan your trip stress-free.

Book early — really early

Accommodation in Le Mans fills up 6 to 10 months before the race. As soon as your tickets are booked (or even before), lock in your stay. Booking direct on our site, you see real-time availability and pay the best rate, with no platform commission.

City centre or circuit?

The Sarthe circuit is 10–15 minutes from the centre by car or tram (a direct line on race days). Staying in the city centre means enjoying the restaurants, the old-town atmosphere after the race, and avoiding the packed campsites. All our Le Mans homes are close to the station and tram — the Cocon Premium even has the stop right outside the residence, and the circuit 8 minutes by car.

Coming as a group

The 24 Hours is best experienced with a crew. La Mancelle Heureuse sleeps up to 8 in 4 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms — the ideal HQ among friends, a short walk from the station for the circuit tram.

Race week: not to be missed

  • Scrutineering (early week): crews and cars shown for free in the city centre.
  • The drivers’ parade (Friday): incredible atmosphere in the streets.
  • Night on the circuit: the sight of headlights through the Mulsanne straight, unforgettable.

Our practical tips

  • Arrive the day before practice to enjoy the city before the crowds.
  • Our self check-in 24/7 is perfect: even after the evening race, your access code is waiting.
  • Need a late checkout on Monday? Ask us, we can often help.

Ready for the race? Check availability now — June always comes round faster than you think.
